On Saturday, 7 August 2021 the Royal West of Scotland Amateur Boat Club (RWSABC) held their annual Coastal Rowing Regatta. This event was attended by 7 different rowing clubs. Royal West members provided home baking for the event. Proceeds from the sale of home baking to those at the event raised £255. This was donated to the RNLI. The RNLI was selected as they provide a valuable service to the users of the Clyde when they participate in the sports of coastal rowing, kayaking, sailing or open water swimming.
On the evening of Monday 31 August Ann Cochrane and Linn Munton of the RNLI in Largs visited the Royal West to collect the cheque presented by Karyn Donnachie, RWSABC Rowing Convener.
